Tendulkar's statue inside Wankhede to be inaugurated on Wednesday

A life-size statue honouring the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is set to be unveiled on Wednesday on the eve of the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka in Mumbai. Pramod Kamble, a painter-sculptor from Ahmednagar in the state, is credited with creating the statue that will stand as a tribute to Tendulkar's legacy. Notably, this installation at the Wankhede Stadium comes almost a decade after Tendulkar's final game for India, which took place against the West Indies in a two-match Test series back in November 2013.
