Daniil Medvedev, the No. 5 seed and 2021 US Open champion, smashed a camera in frustration during his first-round match at the Australian Open against wildcard entrant Kasidit Samrej from Thailand, ranked 418th. Medvedev was trailing and eventually needed to battle back to win in five sets
