The number of people watching the first 11 matches of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 on TV in India has decreased by 8% to 90 million, according to BARC data. This decline is attributed to the increasing popularity of free live streaming services for cricket matches. The average television rating for the matches is also down 13% compared to the previous edition in 2019.
