Six stocks are under F&O trade ban on Friday viz. Granules India, Hindustan Copper, Metropolis Healthcare, National Aluminium Company, PVR Inox and RBL Bank. The Future & Options contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.Traders who trade in index do not encounter a situation of security ban.The MWPL for Granules India stood at 101.6% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 16.3 million. It was down 0.5% from the previous session.Hindustan Copper reported MWPL at 97.5% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 40.6 million. It was down by 2.3% from the previous session.The MWPL for Metropolis stood at 86.7% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 1.8 million. It was down 2.5% from the previous session.MWPL for NALCO stood at 103.1% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 72.5 million. It was up 35.8% from the previous session.For PVR Inox, the MWPL stood at 82.5% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 4.5 million. It was down 1.3% from the previous session.The MWPL for RBL Bank stood at 87.5% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 48.7 million. It was down 0.8% from the previous session.Indian benchmark indices ended in the red on the weekly expiry day dragged by selling pressure in bank, auto and FMCG stocks. Nifty settled at 24,548.70, declining by 93.10 points or 0.38%. Meanwhile, the 30-stock S&P BSE Sensex finished flat at 81,289.96, falling by 236 points or 0.29%.
