Haryana batsman slams record 426

Haryana cricketer Yashvardhan Dalal has set a new batting record, smashing a quadruple century against Mumbai in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy.During the match on Saturday, he achieved this feat by hitting an unbeaten 426 runs against Mumbai.Dalal’s innings included 58 boundaries, with 46 fours and 12 sixes. This score surpassed the previous tournament record of 312 runs set by Uttar Pradesh’s Sameer Rizvi.Haryana elected to bat and promoted opener Dalal, who scored 4 against Madhya Pradesh and 23 & 67 in the Jharkhand match, to the top of the order. Dalal and Arsh Ranga formed a colossal 410-run opening stand. Ranga was eventually dismissed for 151, caught off Atharva Bhosale on the final ball of the 98th over, while Dalal had already reached 243.Despite a few wickets falling, Dalal remained resolute, building crucial partnerships with Parth Nagill (25) and captain Sarvesh Rohilla (48). Milestone after milestone, he surged past 250, 300, and 350, and then crossed the 400-run mark in the evening session of Day 2. By stumps, Dalal was unbeaten on 426 off 463 balls, a record-breaking effort featuring 46 fours and 12 sixes.Haryana ended the day at 732/8 without declaring, giving Dalal a chance to add to his extraordinary innings when play resumes.This is not Dalal's first experience with big scores. In an U-16 league match in December 2021, he hammered 237 runs, helping Haryana Cricket Academy amass 452-5 in 40 overs, leading to a commanding 368-run victory.
