As India enters 2025, oil marketing companies slashed prices for commercial 19-kg LPG cyclinder in various metro cities, including a cut of Rs 14.5 to bring down the prices to Rs 1,804 in the national capital, effective January 1, 2025. The price reduction comes after five staight months of hikes in commercial LPG prices. Additionally, in Mumbai, the new price was slashed to Rs 1756 from Rs 1771. The price for 14.2 kg commercial LPG cyclinder remain unchanged. Along with LPG, the prices for jet fuel or aviation turbine fuel were also cut by 1.54 per cent. Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices dropped by ₹1,401.37 per kilolitre, or 1.54%, bringing the cost to ₹90,455.47 per kilolitre in the national capital, home to one of the country’s busiest airports, as per state-owned fuel retailers.Here are new 19-kg LPG prices:Delhi- Rs 1,804Mumbai-Rs 1756Chennai- Rs 1966Kolkata- Rs 1911Big relief after hikes: Earlier, state-owned oil marketing companies announced price hikes for jet fuel and commercial LPG cylinders in the monthly revision effective December 1.
