Samson scores consecutive T20I 100s

Sanju Samson became the first Indian batter to score consecutive centuries in T20 internationals. The opener created the record in the first T20I against South Africa in Durban.The batter made full use of the powerplay and scored 35 runs of 20 balls, even after losing his opening partner Abhishek Sharma early. He continued to attack the South African bowlers even after the powerplay. Samson reached his milestone of 47 balls, and ended with 107 runs. His innings included seven fours and 10 sixes as India played aggressively after being asked to bat first. The wicket-keeper batter had scored 111 runs in the last T20I match that India played against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. He had scored the previous ton of only 40 balls, the second fastest century for an Indian.Samson has played 30 innings in T20I and has only recently started to open.
