At the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Kamala Harris was joined by her stepchildren Ella and Cole Emhoff, and her husband Doug Emhoff. Harris, married to Doug since 2014, received support from her family. Barack Obama and Michelle endorsed Harris, with Obama energising the crowd and Michelle praising her qualifications for the presidency.
