Chinese hackers breach Yellen's computer

Hackers backed by the Chinese government accessed US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen's computer and files, Bloomberg News has reported . The breach, discovered in December, also impacted the computers of Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo and Acting Under Secretary Brad Smith.The hackers accessed fewer than 50 files on Yellen's computer, focusing on the Treasury's work on sanctions, intelligence, and international affairs. While the hackers accessed unclassified files on more than 400 computers and 3,000 files on personal devices, they did not penetrate classified systems or email. SpaceX loses spacecraft in Starship test

SpaceX launched its Starship rocket on its latest test flight Thursday, but the spacecraft was destroyed following a thrilling booster catch back at the pad. Elon Musk's company said Starship broke apart - what it called a "rapid unscheduled disassembly." The spacecraft's six engines appeared to shut down one by one during ascent, with contact lost just 8 1/2 minutes into the flight. FPIs raise stake in select stocks despite big selloff

Overseas investors have been bearish on India in recent months, pulling over Rs 1.3 lakh crore out of the country's stock market in 2024. Notwithstanding the general pessimism, they raised their stakes in around 27 midcap stocks by more than 5%. Adani m-cap still 34% below Jan '23, but financials healthier

Mumbai: As US-based Hindenburg Research, the controversial short-selling firm, winds down, the impact of its stinging report on the share prices of Adani Group, one of its most notable targets, still lingers. The group's total market value is still 34% below the levels when the Hindenburg report was released on January 24, 2023, accusing the conglomerate of 'stock price manipulation' and 'accounting fraud'.
