Waaree Energies shares slide over 6% even as co secures 180 Mwp module supply order

Shares of the newly-listed Waaree Energies fell by 6.4% to their day’s low of Rs 3,400.50 even as the company secured an order for supply of modules upto 180 Mwp from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India.The supply of modules is scheduled to commence at the end of November 2024 and complete in Q4 of FY 2025, the company said in an exchange filing.On Wednesday, Waaree Energies' market capitalization surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore. 2024 will be world's hottest on record

This year is "virtually certain" to eclipse 2023 as the world's warmest since records began, the European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) said on Thursday. The data was released ahead of next week's U.N. COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan, where countries will try to agree a huge increase in funding to tackle climate change. Apollo Hospitals shares surge 6% on 63% YoY jump in Q2 profit

Shares of Apollo Hospitals surged 6% to their all-time high of Rs 7,396.30 on the BSE after the company reported a 63% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to Rs 379 crore in Q2FY25, led by its hospital business.The company reported a net profit of Rs 233 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), EBITDA rose 30% YoY to Rs.816 crore in Q2FY25.The healthcare services business (hospital business) revenue grew 14% YoY to Rs 2,903 crore in Q2FY25.
